Story

I was diagnosed with SLE in January, 2025. I don't know for how long the wolf has been lurking inside of me, but I don't think it matters. I'm 45 years old...so a "late boomer" when it comes to Lupus. My only symptoms (for now) are joint pain and swelling in both of my wrists and all fingers. I have started this blog to collect and share my experiences including lifestyle changes, recipes, and simple thoughts.

I work in the behavioral health field, so to me, handling my illness not only physically but also mentally and emotionally is crucial. 

I'm motivated to tame this wolf. I can't destroy it, but I don't hate it. It's my own body that has turned against me. It needs treatment, but more importantly, care and love.
